Many associate Hockney with scenes of Los Angeles swimming pools, or perhaps even with his later work capturing the rolling landscapes of Provence. What he is less known for, perhaps, is his stage design. In this one hour lecture, Dr Peter Webb, who wrote the first biography on Hockney, will take you through the artist’s work for the Opera, using image and video to demonstrate the scale and impact of these grand designs.
