A Chinese romantic drama produced in 2000 and set in Hong Kong in 1962. We have tried to show this film in the past but have only recently acquired the screening licence. Written and directed by Wong Kar Wai, the film follows a man and a woman who discover their spouses are having an affair. As they spend time together, they gradually develop feelings for each other, but do not wish to repeat the mistakes of their spouses. Often listed as one of the greatest films of all time and one of the major works of Asian cinema. It is an elegant, stylish exquisitely filmed story of unrequited love set to beautiful music.
