This exhibition explores the bonds between musical performance and painting. As a professional cellist, as well as an artist, Boyd’s work focuses on how music can subliminally inform the emerging image. The show will feature large expressive works in oils in which he responds directly in paint to music, including Bach’s Six Suites for Solo ‘Cello. These works will be shown alongside plein air paintings which form the core of his practice, allowing the viewer to experience the flow and beauty of the English and Italian Landscape.
