We are starting the 2026-27 season early and on a grand scale. While an orchestra in Victoria Hall may be a stretch, our sextet will provide a highly creditable approximation. Renowned repertory group the Bloomsbury Players (two violins, two violas and two cellos) will perform a chamber version of Mozart’s intricate blend of symphony, concerto and concerto grosso, his Sinfonia Concertante (E Flat Major K 364). Our featured work will be what is generally acknowledged as Tchaikovsky’s finest chamber work, his exhilarating Souvenir de Florence (Op. 70). Two major works, six instruments and one Hall filled to the rafters with glorious music. Join us in starting the new season in style.
