The Seion Quartet is one of the finest quartets to emerge recently from the Royal College of Music. In addition to winning the RCM String Quartet competition, they had the honour of performing at the State Banquet at Buckingham Palace before His Majesty King Charles III, Queen Camilla and Their Majesties The Emperor and Empress of Japan. They played at work specially commissioned for the occasion.
The Seions have chosen an ambitious programme for our January concert: Beethoven, Shostakovich and Debussy. The Shostakovich is in honour of the 50th anniversary of his death.
