Autumn 2026: Creative Writing – Setting as Character

Please note that this class takes place on the first floor, meaning that there is no step-free access.

This session will include, discussion, writing time, sharing and feedback. The intention is to give prompts and pointers for new creative writing, while supporting participants with current writing projects. The primary focus of the session will be on ‘setting as character’ in other words, ‘bringing places to life’.

By the end of the session, participants will:
• Understand the different ways setting can work (not only as background).
• Engage the five senses.
• Use setting to create mood and atmosphere.
